SP-1480P is a diesel generator set of 1480 kW (1850 kVA), built on the Perkins 4016TAG1A engine: 16 cylinders, 61.1 L, 1500 rpm. Prime power, 1480 kW, is what it delivers for unlimited hours; standby power, 1628 kW, is for emergency supply only. At 1480 kW it covers a plant, a mine or a remote site where the generator is the main source of power.
At full load it burns 381.3 L/h, about 3050 L over an 8-hour shift; at partial load, less. It is built open or in a canopy and weighs from 13780 kg. A container or trailer build and an ATS panel are options.
